Taking a bath by a fasting person

· Ibn Umar : Soaked a garment in water and put it over himself while he was fasting.

· Ash Sha’bi : entered a bathroom while he was fasting.

· Al-Hassan : to rinse his mouth with water and to cool his body.

· Anas : he entered the tub and sit while fasting.

· Aisha : in Ramadan the Prophet used to take bath in the morning.

· Abu Bakr bin Abdur and Umm Salama also narrated a similar thing.

Fasting person ate or drank forgetfully

· ‘Ata : water goes into the throat and one is unable to bring it out while sniffing it in the nose.

· Al-Hassan : if fly enters one’s throat, the person still can continues his fasting.

· Abu Huraira : if somebody eats or drinks forgetfully then he should complete his fast, for what he has eaten or drunk has been given to him by Allah.

Dry or green Siwak for be fasting person

· Amer bin Rabi’a : he saw Prophet brushing his teeth with siwak while he was fasting so many time until he can not count it.

· Abu Huraira : Prophet give out the order but its hard for his followers to follow. Brush their teeth with siwak on every performance of ablution.

· Aisha : the Prophet said “the siwak is a purification for the mouth, seeking Allah’s pleasures.

· Ata and Qatada : its okay if fasrting people swallowing one’s saliva.

That who performs ablution should sniff in his nose

· Al-Hassan : its okay if to use snuff if it does not reach the throat.

· Ata : after rinsing his mouth of water, there is no harm, unless they swallow his saliva. During the sniffing, some water enters the throat and he unable to bring it back, there is no harm in that because he cannot afford it.

That who has sexual intercourse in Ramadan

· Abu Huraira : he narrated from the Prophet that who did not fast for one day of Ramadhan without genuine excuse or a disease, then even if he fasted for a complete year, it would not compensate for the day.

· This explanation also mention from Ibn Mas’ud.

· Sa’id bin Al-Musaiyab, Ash-Sha’bi, Ibn Jubair, Ibrahim, Qatada and Hummad : the fasting person should fast another day instead.

If somebody had sexual intercourse with his wife in Ramadan and has got nothing, then if he is given something in charity, he should give it as an explanation of that sinful act

· Abu Huraira narrated , while he sitting with Allah’s Apostle, came a man and said that he had sexual intercourse with his wife while he fasting. Allah’s Apostle asks the guy three question. The question is, can he afford to emancipate a slave, can he fast for two month successive, and lastly can he afford to feed sixty poor persons? And all the answers the guy answered negatively. After that Allah’s Apostle, give a full of basket of dates and ask him to give to charity. Then the man said, there is no family between Madina’s mountains is poorer than them.

· The parts of hadith are in 1935, 1936, 1937, 5368, 6087, 6164, 6709, 6710, 6711, 6821.

Cupping and vomiting of a fasting person

· Abu Huraira narrated if a fasting person vomits that does not break his fast because he expels out and does not swallow anything.

· Ibn Abbas and Ikrima said : fasting is mean to stop taking food in and not taking it out.

· Ibn Abbas narrated that the Prophet was cupped while he was in the state of Ihram and also while he was fasting.

Fasting during journey and fast breaking

· Ibn Abi Aufa narrated when they company Allah’s Apostle on a journey. Allah’s Apostle said to a man, “get down and mix Sawiq (powdered barley with water) for me” for three times and the man keep on said to him about the sun. After three time the man halted and mixed sawiq with water for him. The Allah’s Apostle drank it and then beckoned with his hand and said “When you see the night falling from this side (east), then a fasting person should break his fast.

· The parts of hadith are in 1955, 1956, 1958, 5297.

· Aisha narrated Hamza bin Amr Al-Aslami said he fast continuously.

· Aisha narrated Hamza bin Amr Al-Aslami asked the Prophet where there should he fast while travelling and Allah’s Apostle replied he may fast if he wish and he may not fast if he desire.

If a person fasted some days of Ramadan and then went on a journey

· Ibn Abbas narrated Allah’s Apostle set out for Mecca in Ramadan and he fasted. When he reached Al-Kadid, he broke his fast and the people broke their fast too.

· The parts of this hadith are in: 2953, 4275, 4276, 4277, 4278, 4279, 1948.

· Abu Ad-Darda narrated that he out with Allah’s Apostle on one of his journeys on a very hot day. It was so hot that one had to put his hand over his head because of the severity of heat. None of them was fasting expect the Prophet and Ibn Rawaha.

It is not righteous to fast on a journey

· Jabir bin Abdullah narrated Allah’s Apostle was on journey and he saw a crow of people and a man was being shaded. When he asks, and the people said the man was on fasting. The Prophet said, “It is not righteous to fast on a journey”.

The companions of the Prophet did not criticize each other for fasting or not fasting on journeys

· Anas bin Malik narrated that they have travel with Prophet and neither did the fasting persons criticize those who were not fasting nor did those who were not fasting criticize that fasting one.

That who broke his fast on a journey so hat people might see him

· Tawus narrated Ibn Abbas said Allah’s Apostle set out from Madina to Mecca and he fasted till he reaches Usfan, where he asked for water and rinse his hand to let the people see him and then broke the fast. He did not fast after that till he reached Mecca and that happened in Ramadan.

· Ibn Abbas used to say, “Allah’s Apostle sometimes fasted and sometimes did not fast during the journeys, so that who desired to may fast, that happened in Ramadan.

When to compensate for the missed days of Ramadan

· Sa’id bin Al-Musaiyab said the ten days of fasting as optional should not be observed till the fasting in lieu of the missed days of Ramadan were compensated.

· Ibrahim said if somebody did not fast in lieu of the missed days of Ramadan till the next Ramadan came, then he should fast the present Ramadan and then the missed days of the previous Ramadan.

The menstruating women should abandon the fasting and the prayers

· Abu Az-Zinad said menstruating women should fast in lieu of her missed fast but she is not to offer the prayer in lieu of her missed prayers.

That who died and fasting is due on him

· Aisha said that who died and fasting is due on him then his guardians must fast on his behalf.

When should the fasting person break his fast?

· Abu Sa’id Al-Khudri said broke his fast when the sun’s disc disappeared.

· Umar bin Al-Khattab narrated Allah’s Apostle said when night falls from this side and the day vanishes from this side and the sun sets, then the fasting person should break his fast.

· Abdullah bin Abi Aufa narrated Allah’s Apostle said, when the sun set and get up and mix Sawiq with water for us. And when you see night falling from this side, the fasting person should break his fast.

Hasting the time for breaking the fast

· Sahl bin Sa’d narrated Allah’s Apostle said the people will remain on the right path as long as they hasten the braking of the fast.

Solat2 Sunat

Solat Tahiyyatul Masjid

Solat Tahiyatul masjid ialah solat dua rakaat yang

dilakukan apabila seseorang memasuki masjid.

Solat Tahiyatul masjid boleh dilakukan pada bila-bila

masa.

Bertujuan untuk:

1.Menghormati masjid kerana tempat ibadat.

2.Memuliakan masjid kerana masjid adalah rumah

Allah.

3.Memupuk sifat rendah diri dan beradab pada

masjid.

Cara mendirikan solat Tahiyatul Masjid adalah sama

dengan solat sunat yang lain kecuali niatnya.

Lafaz Niat:

"Sahaja aku solat sunat Tahiyatul Masjid dua rakaat

kerana Allah".

Solat Rawatib

Solat sunat Rawatib ialah solat sunat dua rakaat yang

didirikan bagi mengiringi solat fardu.

Solat sunat Rawatib yang paling utama ialah solat

sunat dua rakaat sebelum fardu subuh.

Terdapat juga solat-solat sunat Rawatib yang

digalakkan.

Antaranya:

1.Sebelum dan sesudah solat fardu zuhur

2.Sebelum solat fardu asar

3.Sesudah solat fardu maghrib

4.Sebelum dan sesudah fardu isyak.

Solat2 Sunat Yang Lain

Antara solat-solat sunat ialah:

1.Solat sunat Tahajjud dilakukan 2 hingga 12 rakaat

secara berseorangan atau berjemaah

2.Solat sunat Hajat dilakukan 2 hingga 12 rakaat

secara berjemaah atau berseorangan

3.Solat sunat Istikarah dilakukan 2 rakaat secara

berseorangan

.Solat sunat Dhuha dilakukan 2 hingga 12 rakaat

secara berjemaah atau berseorangan

5.Solat sunat Witir dilakukan 1 hingga 21 rakaat

secara berjemaah atau bersendirian.

Kebaikan Mengerjakan Solat Sunat:

1.Menampung kekurangan yang berlaku dalam

solat fardu

2.Membentuk sifat ihsan dalam diri

3.Memantapkan keimanan dan ketakwaan kepada

Allah S.W.T.
